Reclad of the Office of National Statistics in Newport, South Wales.
The Office of National Statistics (ONS) with VINCI Facilities chose EQUITONE [natura] in a combination of colours and sizes when the old brick façade required extensive repairs. It now has a low maintenance exterior that combines excellent aesthetics with durability.
Dave Willett, senior project manager at VINCI Facilities, said: “We felt that EQUITONE provided the best combination of quality, versatility and value for money. The adjustability of the mounting system accommodated the varying planes of the original walls extremely well, resulting in a crisp finish… EQUITONE was very supportive at the design stage and maintained their support throughout. There have been no issues with the product to date and it is looking as sharp and rich in colour as the day it was installed.”
Student accommodation, high-rise project in Clermont-Ferrand, France
The dark EQUITONE [natura] Anthracite façade of the multi-storey student residence mimics the volcanic rock on which the city was built.
Rising-up to ten-storeys, the high-rise design features shutters to windows and Juliet balconies. When the occupants open their shutters the orange metal is exposed and contrasts with the dark cladding.
