Equitone Uni-Screw System

The key features of a Ventilated Façade are an outer skin of Equitone panels, a cavity and an insulated backing wall that controls air leakage.

The Ventilated Façade is very efficient in controlling condensation and allows the installation of continuous thermal insulation that reduces the thermal bridges.

The system helps  keeping the building warm in winter time and dissipates the heat due to the airflow in the cavity in summer.

All of this results in a greater degree of comfort for the occupants and ensures a healthy building.

Equitone panels are secured to the supporting timber battens by colour matched Uni-Screws.

Timber battens are a good pairing with Equitone fibre cement panels as the thermal movements of both materials are similar.

The timber must comply with the requirements for grade and strength. It should be treated with a wood preservative and the vertical support battens covered with EPDM strips to protect them from water.
